Keegan is a former research assistant in the Indianapolis lab location. Keegan graduated from Butler University with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Chemistry and Neuroscience. While Keegan was at Butler, she conducted research with Dr. Tara Lineweaver. Keegan currently works as a Clinical Research Technician at Indiana University School of Medicine in a Neuropsychology Alcohol Studies Lab under Dr. David Kareken. In this lab, the studies use fMRI to focus on the brain’s reward center and understand its response and relationship to alcohol. The primary study she is running looks specifically at how the brain’s reward system and striatal dopamine are involved in alcohol seeking behaviors, using fMRI and IV alcohol administration.
